How to Make Your Own Homemade Pen Gun
A dart pen gun is designed to shoot a dart at a target. You can make your own dart pen gun and dart from a few supplies commonly found around the house. You will need to use a few tools likely kept in your toolbox or garage. Your homemade dart pen gun will never run out of power because it will rely on your breath to fire the dart at the target.
Things You'll Need
- Disposable plastic pen
- Needle-nose pliers
- Utility knife
- Ruler
- Shoelace
- Sewing pin

Hold the disposable plastic pen by the back end in one hand. Hold the needle-nosed pliers in the other hand.

Clamp the jaws of the needle-nose pliers around the ball point in the front end. Pull the ink tube out of the pen using the needle-nose pliers. Throw the ink tube in the trash.

Hold the pen by the front end in one hand. Hold the needle-nosed pliers in the other hand.

Clamp the jaws of the need-nosed pliers on the plastic cap at the back end. Pull the plastic cap off the back end with the needle-nosed pliers. Dispose of the plastic cap in the trash.

Measure 1-1/2 inches from one of the hard ends of the shoelace. Cut the shoelace at the 2 inch mark with the utility knife.

Make vertical slits in the end of the cut piece of shoelace opposite the hard shoelace end with the utiility knife. Feather the end of the cut piece of shoelace with your fingers until it is fluffy.

Insert the point of the sewing needle into the feathered end of the cut piece of shoelace. Push the sewing needle through the cut piece of shoelace until the point emerges from the other end.

Place the pointed end of the dart that you have made into one end of the pen. Go outside in your backyard. Take a deep breath.

Raise your homemade dart pen gun to your mouth. Wrap your lips around the hole at the end that has the dart inside it. Aim at a tree or rock.

Blow out your breath in one brief burst to shoot the dart from your homemade dart pen gun at the tree or rock.

You can use a toothpick instead of a needle for the dart.
Never aim any kind of weapon that shoots a projectile at a person or pet.
