Adjustable Bed Frame Instructions
The one piece of furniture absolutely every home has is a bed and, more times than not, that means having a bed frame. The bed frame is the four-piece metal frame in which the box spring sits. Most modern bed frame come as adjustable units allowing for multiple size mattresses, from twin all the way up to king size. Setting up and adjusting a metal bed frame is a simple task if you know the proper steps. Does this Spark an idea?

Place the folded frame bars on the floor in the bed's desired location. Open the bars by pulling the hinged bars out at a 90-degree angle.

Connect the frame sides together. One bar will have small circular tabs, while the matching bar will have receiving slots. Slide the tabs into the appropriate slots. Then pull the tab into the smaller end of the slot, securing it in place. Choose the slots that match the size mattress you are using. Most adjustable frames can accommodate from twin to queen size.

Attach the center support. This is especially important if the mattress is queen size or larger. The center support should be placed across the width in the center of the adjustable bed frame. It is secured with a simple nut and bolt attachment. Tighten the nuts by hand and then use an adjustable wrench to secure it safely.

Lay the mattress centered on the bed frame. Put pressure on the mattress to test all connections before sleeping overnight on the bed.
