How to Remodel a New Bathroom

Remodeling a new bathroom does not require you to replace your toilet or sink. Typically, new bathrooms have newer fixtures that do not need updating. Instead, consider how to remodel your bathroom by redecorating it. Changing the color of your bathroom walls or curtains will noticeably change the appearance of your bathroom. Consider a color scheme that matches the rest of your home or allow your bathroom to have a theme all its own.

1. 

   Purchase interior home paint for your bathroom.

   Paint your bathroom a different color if you want to create a completely different atmosphere. Typically, new bathrooms also have new walls, so you should not have to do any wall repair. Decide if you want to incorporate an accent wall in your bathroom. An accent wall is a wall painted a completely different color than the other three walls.

   Replacing a shower head requires unscrewing the old and screwing on the new one.

   Purchase and replace your shower head. A shower head seems like a small thing to replace but it makes a difference, especially when you take a shower or bath.

   Incorporate window treatments that draw attention to them.

   Change the window treatments in your bathroom. You may purchase expensive window treatments at a specialty store or inexpensive ones at your local department store. This varies depending upon what your bathroom has for window treatments: curtains, roman blinds or shades. If you painted your bathroom, purchase your window treatments to complement your paint color.

4. 

   Purchase wicker baskets of different sizes to maximize storage.

   Purchase wicker baskets of different sizes for your bathroom. Wicker baskets work well to hold items in your bathroom such as wash cloths, magazines and hair accessories. When guests sleep over at your home, place the guests' toiletries---for example, a clean towel and wash cloth---in wicker baskets next to the sink. Incorporating wicker baskets into your bathroom also provides a natural, functioning storage solution---natural because of the material wicker is made from and functional because you can store items on shelving.

5. 

   Select candles to complement your bathroom decor.

   Incorporate candles into your new bathroom. Candle light is soothing and relaxing when you are taking a bubble bath. Scented candles will excite the senses.
