Instructions

  1. General Troubleshooting

    • 1

Close and latch the dishwasher door. The dishwasher will not start if the door is not latched.

    • 2

Turn the cutoff valve on the water supply line counterclockwise to turn the water on fully. Push tripped breakers into the "On" position or replace blown fuses in the household fuse or breaker box.

    • 3

Wait several minutes to allow the dishwasher to reset if it stops during a cycle. The motor has overloaded and shut down to prevent damage. If it does not restart, call for service.

    • 4

Press the overfill protection float down to release it so that it moves freely. The float is located in the bottom of the dishwasher tub.

    • 5

Increase the temperature on the household water heater. The dishwasher must wait for the water to heat to the correct temperature, which delays the cycle.

    • 6

Call for service if the "Clean" light is flashing.

    Detergent Dispenser Does Not Empty

    • 7

      Allow the cycle to complete.

    • 8

Use fresh detergent that is not clumped.

    • 9

Load dishes so that the dispenser door is not obstructed when the dishwasher door is closed.

    Spots on Dishes

    • 10

Refill the rinse aid dispenser with rinse agent.

    • 11

Increase the temperature on the water heater to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

    • 12

Use at least 1 tbsp. of detergent per load. Measure the detergent carefully.

    Dishes Not Dry

    • 13

Load dishes so cups, glasses and bowls drain properly.

    • 14

Dry plastic dishes with a towel. Plastics do not dry well in the dishwasher.

    • 15

Refill the rinse aid dispenser, if needed.

    • 16

Used a heated drying cycle instead of the "air-dry" or "energy-saving dry" cycles.
