Empty ink cartridges can be turned into cash through recycling programs. Most major office supply stores accept cartridges for recycling. Ink cartridge recycling programs are also available as fundraisers for your organization through numerous websites. Some programs will pay you cash back and some will give you reward coupons to be used toward your next purchase. Help the environment through recycling your cartridges and earn cash back at the same time.

Instructions

1. Sign up for a reward program at your local office supply store. (See Resources.) Return empty cartridges to the store and receive reward coupons for cash off your next purchase.

2. Search the website for ink cartridge recycle programs. (See Resources.) Enroll your organization to receive cash back. Promotional materials are available to encourage people to donate.

3. Set up an account as an individual with an ink recycling program. A mailing kit will be sent for use in returning your cartridges.
