How to Limit a Donation Amount on PayPal

PayPal is an online payment service that is used to send or receive funds for online purchases. It is a popular choice for online fundraising drives because it affords a simple process by which to receive donations using credit cards. PayPal offers a donation button wizard that can be used to generate the HTML code needed to direct users to a PayPal donation page. The wizard is highly customizable and the user has full control over every aspect of the donation process, including placing a limit on the donation amount.

Instructions

1. Launch a Web browser and navigate to PayPal.

2. Log in to your PayPal account.

3. Click the "Products and Services" tab.

4. Hover your mouse over "Get Paid" and select "Fundraise."

5. Click "Accept Credit Cards on a Website."

6. Click "Create a Donate Button."

7. Customize the donation button according to your preferences.

8. Select "Donors contribute a fixed amount" under "Contribution Amount" and enter the donation limit you wish to set.

9. Complete the button generator and then click "Create Button" to view the HTML code for the button. You can paste this button on your website. Any contributions made using this button will have a set donation limit.
