How to Install a Volume Control Tray
The systems tray, or notification area, of the taskbar in Windows 7 shows system icons (power, volume, network) and currently running programs. The volume control icon is a convenient feature of the operatng system because it allows users to change volume without using the keyboard. Unfortunately, this icon might be missing due to a virus attack or someone removing it from the area intentionally. If you want to reinstall it, all you need to do is enable the icon back into the systems tray area.
