Instructions

    • 1

Move your karaoke player or audio device close to your standalone CD recorder and a power outlet.

    • 2

Connect the audio output of your karaoke machine to the audio input of your standalone CD recorder. Most standalone CD recorders will allow you to connect your karaoke device through a dual stereo RCA cable. However, some machines may require different connections depending on the brand and model.

    • 3

Put a blank recordable CD in the recorder.

    • 4

Select the appropriate audio input via the front panel display of your standalone CD recorder. What you choose will depend which input the audio output of your karaoke machine is plugged into. Check the back of the standalone CD recorder if you are unsure.

    • 5

Cue the music on your karaoke machine so that when you initialize playback, the song you intend to record is ready to play from the desired point. If you plan to sing along, make sure your microphone is properly set up before starting the music.

    • 6

Start recording on the CD recorder a few seconds before you're ready to record the audio from the karaoke machine to CD.

    • 7

Begin playing the music and allow the song to play until it's finished, while singing along if desired. Stop the CD recorder before stopping playback on the karaoke machine to prevent any unwanted audio from getting onto your CD.

    • 8

Repeat the process above if you want to record more songs onto the same CD, making sure to skip to the next track on the recordable CD before the next recording.

    • 9

Finalize the recording if you are finished recording material to the CD. Finalization is a process that allows users to play a CD on different CD playback devices. Not all standalone CD recorders require finalization. Check your owner's manual if you are unsure about your particular machine.

Tips & Warnings

  • You cannot sell karaoke recordings unless you own the license to the song or songs that you recorded.
