How to Replace Motorcycle Shocks

How to Replace Motorcycle Shocks thumbnail
Some motorcycles use shocks to soften the ride.

You can replace the shocks on most motorcycles with standard hand tools. The shocks on these motorcycles use coil over shocks which means there is a wire coil around the shock. Unlike coil over struts on automobiles, when you replace the shocks, you replace the coil as they are sold in units.
