Surround sound and home theater systems help bring the sound of a movie theater into the comfort of your living room. The setup process for these systems can be complicated, but the results will transform your at home movie watching experience. Koss surround sound systems seek to simplify this process by providing you with pre-wired speakers and labeled terminals, making the setup process a matter of connecting the wires to their popper terminals.

      Place the surround sound system receiver in your entertainment center.

      Place the center speaker directly above or below the TV at what would roughly be the viewer's ear level.

      Place the left and right front speakers to the left and right of the TV no more than 2 feet above or below the center speaker.

      Use a screw gun and the mounting brackets that came with your system to mount the left and right surround speakers on the side walls parallel or behind the viewing location. Alternately, you may place the left and right surround speakers on a flat surface parallel or behind the viewing location no more than 2 feet above or below the center speaker.

      Place the system's subwoofer 6 inches away from the front wall of the room, near the television.

      Run the speaker wires from the backs of the speakers to the back of the receiver.

      Connect the speaker cables into their appropriately labeled terminals. For example, the front left speaker cable should connect to the speaker terminallabeled "Front Left."

      Plug the receiver into a power outlet.
