If you wear glasses, you need to be able to see out of them, and you want them to be comfortable all day, every day. To ensure that they're comfortable, you'll need to adjust them to fit your face. Glasses with flexible nose pads are more accommodating to a variety of face shapes, but even these glasses may need some adjustments to fit snugly without sliding down or irritating the sides of your nose. Instructions

    • 1

Place the glasses upside-down on a soft surface so that the nose pads are easily accessible.

    • 2

Grip one pad at a time with the needle-nose pliers to make adjustments, either to pull them apart or push them toward each other. Don't make any drastic changes or jerky movements. Apply gentle pressure and only make small adjustments at a time. Keep each side balanced and symmetrical.

    • 3

Adjust the nose pads so they sit higher on the nose by pushing the wires upward with the pliers. If you want the nose pads to sit lower on the nose, nudge the wires downward instead.

    • 4

Adjust the nose pads so they are further apart by pulling at the underside of the wire with the pliers. If you want the nose pads to be closer together, push the wires inward instead.

    • 5

Make minor adjustments to the angle of the nose pads by tweaking the angle of the wire as it extends in a curve from the glasses frame. Make sure all adjustments are symmetrical so the glasses will fit correctly on your face without looking crooked or misaligned.

Try the glasses on periodically throughout the process to see how they fit and whether you need to make further adjustments. Keep trying them on until you have adjusted them so they fit comfortably without slipping.
