My Garmin StreetPilot C330 Won't Turn on
The Garmin StreetPilot C330 is a mobile GPS device. Like any device, it is prone to malfunction. There are many reasons why the device will fail to power up. The device may be connected to a power outlet that is not functioning correctly, the battery may be exposed to harmful conditions which interrupt its ability to maintain and accept a charge, or internal disk issues could cause the device not to power on.

Charge the Garmin StreetPilot C330 battery in the correct conditions. Prolonged exposure to excessive temperatures below 32°F or above 122°F, and direct sunlight will damage the battery. To charge the battery under ideal conditions, connect the StreetPilot to the computer with its USB cable and charge it with the computer. It takes approximately 3 hours for the StreetPilot to fully charge.

Reset your StreetPilot C330. Loosen the front faceplate on the C330 by inserting your thumb's nail into the groove located under the Garmin logo on the front of the device. Then gently pull off the face plate. Press the "Reset" button underneath the faceplate. The C330 will reset itself. Hit the "Power" button on the right side to turn the unit back on.

Update the C330 software. The StreetPilot C330 could fail to power up due to an internal software issue. Resetting the device should solve the problem. If it doesn't, update the software. To update, download Garmin's "WebUpdater" software (see Resources) and follow the prompts to install it on the computer. Launch the installed software. Connect the C330 to the computer using the USB cable; WebUpdater will detect and find all available updates for the connected device. Follow the prompts to install the updates.
