How to Trace the Superman Emblem

Red, blue and yellow contribute to Superman's logo.

Superman, a crime fighting superhero, has been around since 1938. Making his first appearance in comic books, he continues to delight fans in graphic novels, movies and television shows. Superman normally lives under the guise of Clark Kent, a prize-winning newspaper reporter, and only emerges in his role of superhero to stop impending danger. His costume is emblazoned with a large emblem in bright colors with an "S" design in the center. Re-create your own version of this logo to enhance Halloween costumes, birthday party themes and more.

Things You'll Need

• Tracing paper
• Paper
• Colored Pencils

Instructions

1. Lay the emblem or logo on a flat surface.

2. Cover the logo with the tracing paper. Trace the outline of the triangle shape with a dark pencil. Trace the "S" shape within the logo with a thick black pencil.

3. Color the outline and "S" shape with red pencils. Fill in with yellow colored pencils between the outline and the "S" shape. Color the background with a bright blue color.

Tips & Warnings

• Use transfer paper and pencils to transfer the traced design onto another surface.
