Instructions

    • 1

Wipe up as much of the staining material as possible with a clean cloth.

    • 2

Mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 2 gallons of warm water.

    • 3

Dip a sponge into the mixture and wring out as much liquid as possible. This will prevent you from over-wetting the floors, which can cause buckling.

    • 4

Rub the sponge over the stain for several minutes until you remove it. Some stain residue may be left over.

    • 5

Apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol to a clean, dry cloth if the stain is still visible.

    • 6

Rub the cloth over the stain to further remove it. Be careful to dab the stain so you don't spread it.

    • 7

Apply a small amount of mineral spirits to another clean cloth.

    • 8

Dab the mineral spirits on the stain. Be careful not to over-apply the mineral spirits as they could remove some of the floor sealant. This should only be used as a last resort.

    • 9

Wipe up the cleaning solution residue with a clean cloth soaked in clear water.

    • 10

Dry the floor immediately with a clean cloth.
