How to Get an Emulator on Your iTouch
The Apple iPod Touch (iTouch) is a personal hand-held entertainment system and part of the iPod series, which has helped revolutionize personal audio. Emulators can be installed on the iTouch to play games from different platforms and manufacturers. But the iPod must first be "jailbroken" to allow the software to be installed from a location outside the Apple iTunes applications store.

1
Unlock the iPod Touch. Despite the illegal-sounding "jailbreaking" description, this procedure was declared legal in July 2010. Navigate to an iPod jailbreaking website. Download the unlock software and follow the installation procedure to unlock the iTouch.
-
2
Open the iTouch's Internet browser. Navigate to the Cydia unofficial application store. The Cydia store allows applications to be downloaded to the iPod that are not sanctioned by Apple.

3
Scroll through the application list. A number of emulators are available from the Cydia store. Select the emulator that you wish to use on your iTouch. Purchase the emulator by clicking on it and following the download process. Tap "Install" to download the emulator application. It is then possible to download games for that emulator and play them on your iTouch.
