How to Remove Nexcare

Nexcare bandages are products of the 3M corporation. Adhesive parts, which stick to your skin, hold the bandages in place. As a wound heals, or when you want to put on a fresh bandage, you will first need to remove the old bandage. A few tricks can make a stubborn bandage easier to peel off.

Instructions

    • 1

Gently lift the adhesive edge of the Nexcare bandage to remove it from the skin. If it does not release easily, avoid pulling on it.

    • 2

Apply baby oil or cooking oil to your finger. Rub the oil into the bandage if the adhesive parts don't release easily when you try lifting them off.

    • 3

Wrap some ice in a paper towel and apply the wrap to the Nexcare bandage for five minutes or less. The cold temperature of the ice makes the adhesive brittle and less sticky, which makes it easier for you to peel off.
