Wave Cap Directions

Using a wave cap is one way to change a short hairstyle.

Those who choose to wear their hair short, especially males, have few options to add variety to their hair styles. One way to mix up a short style is to use a wave cap. A wave cap is ideal for those with hair that is an inch in length or shorter. Using a wave cap is an easy and cost-effective way to change your hair style at home.

Things You'll Need

• Wave cap
• Wave enhancing pomade
• Wooden soft bristle brush

Instructions

1. Brush hair with firm pressure using a wooden soft-bristled brush. If your hair has a natural wave pattern, be sure to brush hair in the direction of the wave. If you do not have a natural wave pattern, brush the front of your hair towards your face and the back and sides of your hair downward.

2. Apply a small amount of wave-enhancing pomade to your hair, using approximately a dime-sized to a nickel-sized amount. Apply the product in the direction that you brushed your hair to avoid disturbing the waves.

3. Brush the pomade into your hair by following the same wave pattern and applying light pressure with the wooden soft-bristled brush.

4. Carefully put the wave cap on your head. Be sure not to disturb any of the waves that you brushed. Sleep with the wave cap on your head overnight and carefully remove it in the morning.
