How to Unlock Viewsat

Unlock the parental controls on your Viewsat receiver.

Viewsat is a manufacturer of free-to-air (FTA) satellite receivers. You can watch many free satellite channels in the United States using a Viewsat receiver, including religious, educational and traditional programming. Most Viewsat receivers come with built-in parental locks to prevent children from watching unsuitable content. You might want to unlock your Viewsat receiver to change the parental settings or remove them entirely. Allow approximately five minutes for this task.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" button on your Viewsat remote.

2. Scroll using the arrow keys until "Installation" is highlighted. Press the "OK" button.

3. Scroll to "Parental Control" and press "OK."

4. Select "Receiver Lock" or "Menu Lock."

5. Tap the right or left arrow until "Off" is shown. Press "OK."

6. Enter your Viewsat PIN if prompted. The default is "0000."

7. Press the "Menu" button repeatedly to save and exit the menu. Your Viewsat receiver is now unlocked.
