How to Store Coffee Filters

Keep coffee filters close at hand in the kitchen.

Coffee filters, which are made from disposable paper, are used during the coffee-brewing process. The paper filters are placed inside coffee pots and then filled with coffee grounds. Standard coffee filters feature flat bases, but cone-shaped filters are also available. Be sure to choose the correct shape for your specific coffee pot. You can keep coffee filters in their original packaging and store them in a cupboard or place them in a decorative vessel.

Instructions

1. Open the plastic coffee filter package and remove the filters.

2. Place the paper filters in a vessel featuring an airtight lid, which will keep dust and humidity out. Choose a traditional plastic storage container, a modern-looking stainless steel canister or an elegant ceramic or glass jar, depending on your home décor style.

3. Store the container in a convenient location, such as next to the coffee pot on the countertop or in an easy-to-reach cupboard.
