How to Track Shipping Containers

Shipping containers are large, metal cargo boxes that are stacked on vessels for transport across the world's oceans. Shipping containers are essential for manufacturers and businesses to transport a large quantity of goods that do not need to arrive immediately. The containers may hold anything from automobile parts to pharmaceuticals. Sometimes the shipping containers are lost or take a very long time to reach a destination.       Navigate to the Track-Trace website.

      Type into the text field the shipping container's tracking number. The tracking number consists of four letters and six to seven digits.

      Click "Track Direct" to view the current status and location of your shipping container.

Tips & Warnings

  • Track-Trace is capable of tracking your shipping container only with the shipping companies listed on the Track-Trace website. Currently, Track-Trace is capable of tracking shipping containers with 103 different shipping companies.
