How to Check for an MCSE
Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certification is given to individuals who display a high level of expertise in designing, implementing and administering infrastructures for business solutions based on Windows Server 2000 and 2003. To become certified, applicants must meet several requirements. If you are an employer, you may want to verify that an individual has MCSE certification.

Ask the job applicant for his "transcript ID" and "access code" to view his official Microsoft transcript.

Go to the Microsoft Transcript Request page.

Type in the "Transcript ID" and "Access Code," and click "Submit." View the certification achievements of the individual. This includes whether or not the individual has an MCSE certificate.

Tips & Warnings
For newer technologies, such as Exchange Server 2010, Windows Server 2008 or SQL Server 2008, Microsoft recommends a Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification.
