How to Apply Rub-Ons to Glass Votives
Rub-on transfers are used for several crafts like scrapbooking, card making and even on glassware. They can be also be used to decorate glass votives. Whether for a wedding or just home decor, you can find several rub-on transfer designs that match complement your design theme.

Buy rub-on transfers made for glass. You can find these at craft supply stores.

Wash your glass votives with a cleaning solution. Dry them completely before continuing.

Cut out, using scissors, the transfer you wish to place on the votive. Leave a small border around the transfer.

Find a flat spot on the votive. Remove the sticky backing on the transfer. Place the transfer down and smooth any edges with the wooden stick from the kit.

Rub the transfer onto the glass with the same wooden stick. Apply a good amount of pressure. Take your time and do this carefully so the entire transfer gets rubbed onto the glass.

Peel away the transfer's backing.

Spray the glass with a sealant to ensure the transfer stays secure.

Tips & Warnings
While you're rubbing the transfer on, peel up the corner you're working on to make sure it's transferring. If not, place the corner back down and continue to rub.
