How to Cancel a First Premier Credit Card

In return, First Premier bank has some of the highest interest rates and fees in the industry. Some customers find themselves with large credit balances that draw increasingly large interest charges. If you aren't careful, the charges can spiral out out of control. Call the First Premier customer service number located on the back of your credit card or on your monthly credit card statement.

Press the number key on your phone corresponding to the credit card department. Enter your First Premier credit card account number when prompted by the automated system and press the Pound key.

Verify any identifying information for security purposes to the representative who answers your call, including date of birth and Social Security number. Explain that you want to cancel your First Premier credit card. Give the reasoning, if desired, but it is not required to cancel the card.

A First Premier credit card can only be canceled by the primary account holder. An authorized user on the account does not have the power to cancel it.
Although you can manage your First Premier account online in many ways, you cannot cancel a card online. You must call the customer service department so it can verify your identity.
If you have a balance on your First Premier credit card, you will receive a final bill by mail. You must pay the balance to avoid any debt collection proceedings.
