Clear the E74 error with a new component cable.

The E74 error, sometimes called the Red Ring of Death, is a mechanical malfunction on the Xbox 360 console that leaves consoles inoperable. Often, replacing the x-clamp on the original machine keepsthis from happening. If you have an E74 error on your 360 after you have installed an x-clamp fix, have no fear. The E74 error probably has nothing to do with your x-clamp fix. The E74 error means that your component cable (red, white, and yellow) is incompatible or faulty. It is just a coincidence that the E74 showed up after installing the x-clamp fix. Replacing the component cable will clear the E74 error.
