The cabin air filter in a Chevy Silverado maintains the interior air quality by keeping outside smells and particles from entering the truck's cab. The Chevy Silverado uses a dual air filter system designed to provide backup in the event that one of the filters fails. The cabin air filters are easy to change, and this only takes a few minutes to do. A general guideline is that the filters should be changed about every 50,000 miles.
