How to Connect a DVD/VCR to a Satellite Receiver thumbnail
You'll need two sets of AV cables to connect the DVD/VCR.

A DVD/VCR combo component lets you view media discs or videotapes on a connected TV. When hooked up to a satellite receiver, you can also record extraterrestrial programming on tape using the VCR. The connections require a pair of composite audio-video cables with 1/4-inch plugs on the ends. One set of cables receives the signal from the satellite receiver and the other transmits picture and sound.
