How to Book Jewelry Home Shows
Home-based businesses are big, and jewelry parties attract women who both like to sell and wear jewelry. One of the most common ways to sell jewelry is to hold jewelry parties. A host or hostess invites her friends to her house, where she sets up jewelry and tries to induce the guests to make purchases. The hard part is getting parties hosted once you have used up your inner circle of friends. This can be a major stumbling block to a beginner, but there are a few things you can do to easily pass that hurdle.

1
Talk to your friends and family, and other people you know. Let them know that you have a jewelry business that makes most of its money from home shows. Inform them that you would love to have them host a party for their friends.
-
2
Host a party yourself, and invite people that you think would like to host a party. You are not only showing off your jewelry to your friends, you are showing them that hosting a party is not difficult; it is actually a lot of fun.

3
Make up postcards or note cards with information on your line of jewelry or how to host a party. Carry the cards in your purse, and pass them out to people you casually know, such as your favorite grocery store cashier or parents in the PTA. Make sure that the cards have your contact information so they can easily book a party.
-
4
Offer incentives to reward the hostess. If the hostess gets a gift or a small reward for hosting the party, she is more likely to host a party another time. The reward can be a percentage off any purchases, or a free piece of jewelry.
-
5
Keep track of your previous hostesses. If someone hosted a party a long while ago, contact them again to see if they want to host another party.
