How to Create an Application File
Creating an application shortcut file in the Windows operating system is an action that can be performed directly from your desktop. An application shortcut file saves you the need to find the application's executable file on your hard drive to open a program. Instead of wading through all the directories on your hard drive in search of this all-important file, you can simply create a shortcut and then use that to open the associated program.
