West Bend Electronic Timer Directions
You can use a West Bend electronic timer to keep track of cooking foods or any timed project. Electronic timers are designed to keep schedules and alert the user with an alarm when time runs out. Flip the West Bend electronic timer to the back where the clip is located. Slide off the battery cover in the direction of the arrow at the base of the timer. Insert a single AAA battery with the "+' and "-" ends lined up with the symbols inside the battery bay.

Slide the battery cover back into position until you feel it snap into place. Turn the timer around so the buttons and digital display are facing you. Push the button labeled STOP/RESET twice to reset the timer to zero.

Push the number buttons to set the desired hours, minutes and seconds of the time period. The first two numbers entered are the hours, the next two are the minutes and the last two are the seconds. For example, enter the sequence "0, 3, 4, 0, 2, 0" to set the timer for 3 hours, 40 minutes and 20 seconds. Only enter two digits to set the timer shorter than 60 seconds.

Press and release the START button to begin the countdown. The West Bend electronic timer alarm sounds for one full minute after the set time has elapsed. Push any number button or the STOP/RESET button to stop the alarm from sounding.

Tips & Warnings
Wipe down the exterior of the West Bend electronic timer with a slightly damp nonabrasive sponge. Dry the timer completely and store in a cool and dry place.
Keep the timer away from all heat sources and out of direct sunlight to avoid damage.
