How to Use a Yearling Palomino Pop-up Trailer
Soft beds and climate control make camping in a pop-up camper an attractive choice for travelers on long journeys or weekend getaways. Setting up a Yearling Palomino pop-up camper, or tent trailer, takes about 15 minutes, and even a novice camper will feel confident after a little practice. Practice in your driveway or yard before heading out to your favorite campground.

1
Locate a flat, level camping spot. Set wheel chocks, or a block of wood behind the wheels to keep the camper from rolling. Disconnect the camper trailer from your vehicle. Level the camper by raising or lowering the trailer jack. Use a bubble level to confirm that the camper is level.
-
2
Lower the stabilizer jacks and lock them into position. Place a piece of wood under each jack to prevent it from sinking into the ground.
-
-
3
Lift the latches that hold the camper roof tight. Insert the crank handle and crank to raise the camper.
-
4
Pull out the beds from each end of the camper. Insert one end of a support pole into the bracket underneath the bunk and insert the other end into the trailer. Repeat with remaining poles.
-
5
Pull the tent canvas tight over the ends of the beds and to the camper frame. Tighten the canvas underneath the bed frames. Open the awning, if your camper has one. Lower the step going into the camper.
-
6
Connect the water and electricity hookups if available at your campsite. Light the pilot on the refrigerator and water heater.
-
7
Assemble the table and cushions inside the camper. Plug in your small appliances. Make the beds and arrange the inside how you like it. Bring in the food and any other items needed for your stay.
