How to Cancel Call Forwarding

Cancel call forwarding to resume receiving calls on your primary phone.

You're going to visit your parents, but their home is out of cellphone range and you are waiting for an important call. Call forwarding allows you to divert your incoming phone calls to another phone number. You can also use it to send your phone calls directly to voice mail when you do not want to be disturbed. When you are ready to resume receiving phone calls as usual, you just key in a code to cancel call forwarding.

Instructions

Verizon

1. Press "*73" from the cell phone's main screen. The same code is used for residential phones.

2. Press "Send."

3. Wait to hear the confirmation beep and message to indicate that call forwarding has been canceled.

AT&T

1. Press "#21#" from the cell phone's main screen. For residential phones, push "73#" or "*73"

2. Press the "Send," "Talk," or "Receiver" icon on your cell phone.

3. Wait to hear a confirmation message. For residential customers, wait to hear two tones to indicate call forwarding has been canceled.

Sprint Wireless

1. Press "720" from the phone's main screen.

2. Press "Talk."

3. Wait to hear the tones that confirm call forwarding is cancelled.
