How to Adjust Slant Degree of Italics in Publisher 2007

How to Adjust Slant Degree of Italics in Publisher 2007 thumbnail
You can customize how italicized text appears in your documents.

Microsoft Publisher 2007 lets you create documents based on its built-in templates or those that you customize. You can use Publisher to make business cards, brochures, calendars, labels, newsletters and other items. When you italicize text within a document, the text appears to have a degree of slant. If the default slant is not the degree that you wish to use, you can use text formatting techniques to give the text a more slanted appearance.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Microsoft Publisher 2007 and open the file that you wish to edit. Highlight the text that you want to italicize with your mouse and click the "I" button on the tool bar to italicize the text.

    • 2

Click the text box that contains your text and select the "Format" menu. Select "Text Box" or "Autoshape" and select the "Text Box" tab. Select the check box next to "Rotate text within AutoShape by 90°" if you want the text to be slanted 90 degrees.

    • 3

Click the green circle at the top of the text box and rotate it with your mouse until your text has the desired slant.
