How to Troubleshoot a Sanyo Microwave and Grill
Sanyo manufactures a line of microwave ovens that feature both convection and grill cooking settings. These microwaves are warrantied by Sanyo for a one-year period. If the microwave oven fails to function properly during the first year of ownership, the Sanyo Fisher Company will repair or replace it, free of charge. However, the microwave owner is responsible for the cost of shipping it to a factory service center.
Before requesting factory service, try troubleshooting the microwave yourself.

1
Close the door before starting a cooking cycle. If the microwave does not start, first make sure it is plugged into an outlet.
-
2
If the microwave is arcing or sparking, clean it with a damp towel. This problem can be avoided if you always use microwave-safe cookware. Additionally, never operate the microwave oven when it is empty.
-
-
3
Avoid unevenly cooked food by defrosting it completely. Cook food for the correct length of time and turn or stir it during the cooking process.
-
4
If the food has been overcooked, use a lower power level or a shorter cooking time in future.
-
5
Remove any obstructions blocking the microwave's ventilation ports.
-
6
Press the "Convection" key to select a temperature. If the microwave shuts off during preheating, press the "Start/+1 min." key to continue the preheating process. Preheating shuts off automatically after 30 minutes.
