How to Locate the Fuel Filter on a Sprinter Van

The Sprinter van has been sold since 1995 around the world by Mercedes-Benz. In the United States, the Sprinter was branded under Dodge and is a full-sized utility van. The Sprinter is capable of transporting many passengers and a large quantity of cargo. Similar to other vehicles, the Sprinter has a fuel filter that removes dirt and other particles from fuel before it makes its way into your Sprinter's engine. Finding the fuel filter on your Sprinter van is a very straightforward procedure.

Instructions

1. Open your Sprinter van's hood to reveal the engine and other mechanical parts. Make sure to turn the engine off prior to looking under the hood. Prop the hood up with the hood support rod.

2. Turn on your flashlight so that you can see all of the parts under the hood.

3. Look and point your flashlight towards the left side of the motor on the motor mount. The fuel filter will be in a cup-looking bracket. The fuel filter is a small silver-and-black cylinder.
