How to Locate Beneficiaries in Life Insurance Policies
Life insurance uses beneficiaries to designate who receives the death benefit of the policy. These beneficiaries are normally family members. However, the beneficiary may be anyone you choose. Beneficiaries must know that they are going to receive the proceeds of the policy after you die. If they do not, then they won't know to make a claim on the policy. If you can't remember who you've named as a beneficiary, though, you must know where to find the beneficiary designations.
