How to Install Keyless-Entry Auto Remotes

Installing keyless entry remotes to you car allows you to enter the car faster.

Keyless entry makes it easier to get into your car. This is especially useful on rainy days where getting into your car 10 seconds faster can spare a lot of rain from falling on you. Installing the remotes to a keyless entry system is done from inside the car using the ignition and the remotes, so the process does not require any tools and only takes a couple of minutes.

Instructions

1. Place the key into the car's ignition slot. Turn the key from the "Off" position to the "On" position eight times within 10 seconds, finish with the key turned in the "On" position. The doors then lock and unlock on their own to indicate that the car has entered its programing mode.

2. Press any button on the keyless entry remote within 20 seconds of the car entering its programing mode. Afterward, the doors automatically lock and unlock to indicate that the remote is programed. The car remains in programing mode for another 20 seconds, in which time you can press any button on additional remotes to program them to the car.

3. Turn the key in the ignition to the "Off" position. This turns the car off and exits the programing mode, the doors lock and unlock on their own to confirm the programing mode has ended.
