How do I Install TomTom Maps in a Mio P550?

The Mio P550 can use TomTom software to upload maps.

The Mio GPS is a global positioning system device that gives you turn-by-turn direction to the destination of your choice. You can connect Mio to your computer to update and add maps, such as TomTom maps, to your device. This is an efficient way to ensure that your driving directions are up to date and that you get to your destination in time without any hiccups.

Instructions

1. Connect your Mio GPS to your computer by inserting the small end of the GPS USB cable into the Mio and the larger end into your computer's USB hub.

2. Press the power button your Mio GPS to turn it on. This should tell your computer that you are connected to the Mio device. Your Mio software program should automatically launch. If not, select "Computer" and click on the Mio drive to open it.

3. Click "Yes" if you receive a prompt on your device asking if you would like to connect to your computer. Wait for your Mio GPS to update.

4. Click "Add Maps" or "Update Maps."

5. Click "Browse" to browse for your TomTom map. Select the map you want to add and click "Add Map." It may take a moment to configure.

6. Click "Exit" to end the program.

7. Click the Mio icon in the system tray and select "Safely Remove Hardware" to disconnect the device from the computer.
