How to Use the Helmet Lock on a 2006 Honda Rebel CMX250
Honda's CMX250 Rebel is equipped with a helmet lock below the left side of its seat, providing a secure method to prevent its rider's helmet from being stolen while away. Although the lock itself is a fairly simple design, figuring out how to use it can be puzzling to many new riders. The key to using the lock effectively lies in the helmet's metal D-shaped rings on the left chin strap, which creates a solid mounting point for the helmet within the lock.

Tips & Warnings
Lower the left passenger foot peg to provide additional support for your helmet, if needed.
The helmet lock is not intended to support a helmet while the motorcycle is in operation. Doing so can damage the helmet and may entangle its chin straps in the motorcycle's chain, possibly leading to a hazardous loss of control.
