How to Create a PKCS12 Certificate

      Launch Adobe Acrobat from the Start menu under "All Programs." See "Resources" if you do not have a copy of the software.

      Click the tab labeled "Advanced." Choose "Security Settings."

      Click "Digital IDs." Click the "Add ID" button.

      Choose the option that says "A new digital ID I want to create now." Click "Next" to proceed.

      Choose the option "New PKCS#12 digital ID file."

      Type your name and email address for the PKCS#12 digital file. Click "Next" to continue.

      Choose the "2048-bit RSA" option from the "Key Algorithm" menu.

      Choose either or both of the following options depending on your needs under the "Use Digital ID" menu: Signatures and/or Data encryption.
