How to Get a Government Background Check thumbnail
Government background checks can be obtained by visiting your local police station or courthouse.

Many opportunities in life require a government background check including, but not limited to, a variety of government jobs, school enrollment and the potential to adopt a child. Any of the organizations to which you might apply will typically perform the background check (also known as a criminal record check) as part of the application process, but it can be reassuring to know beforehand that your record is spotless. Records can be obtained on local and federal levels.
