My Sprint Smartview Won't Enable in XP Home

Sprint Smartview is an application that allows you to access the Internet on your computer using a wireless connection card. The application gives you access to the phone number of the device, the connection settings for the device, security information for your connection and hardware update options. If the Smartview application fails to launch using the Windows XP operating system, you may need to update the application and restart your computer.

      Right-click the "Sprint Smartview" icon on the computer desktop, if double-clicking the icon will not open the application. Click "Run As Administrator."

      Remove the wireless card from your computer, if the application still fails to open. Click "Start" on your computer desktop and click "Restart Computer." Click "Restart." The computer will power off and turn back on.

      Double-click the Sprint Smartview icon on your computer desktop to open the application. Wait until the Sprint Smartview status is "No Device Detected."

      Insert your wireless card in your computer. Wait for four minutes until the Smartview application states "Connect." Click "Connect." If the application still says "No Device Detected," click "Tools" on the Smartview application.

      Click "Update Data Profile." Click "Connect."
