How to Access a Blue Screen
Windows default settings are set to automatically restart your computer in the event of a system error that generates a "blue screen." If you want to access the blue screen to see the error information provided, you can set your Windows settings to prevent the reboot. The blue screen stays on your screen until you manually restart your computer.

Click "Start" and type "System and Security" into the search box.

Click the "System and Security" search result. You can also access this option through the Control Panel, if you prefer.

Double-click "System." Click "Advanced System Settings." Click "Settings." Uncheck "Automatically restart" and click "OK." Your computer won't restart on system errors. Instead, the blue screen stays on your monitor so you can read the error message.
