HP 92 Black Ink Refill Instructions
HP 92 black ink cartridges (C9362WN) fit many of the Hewlett Packard printers including the all-in-one Officejet 6310, the DeskJet 5440 series and the Photosmart C3150 and 7850 photo printers. Refill kits have everything that you need to refill the black ink cartridge two to eight times, depending on the type of refill kit you purchase. You must refill the cartridge as soon as it empties to prevent the sponge inside the cartridge from drying out.

1
Lay paper towel down on a table. Remove the black ink cartridge from the printer. Remove the label from the ink cartridge, which will reveal the vent holes.
-
2
Insert the syringe needle in the black bottle of ink. Pull up on the plunger in the syringe to draw out 5 milliliters of ink. Place the needle into the top, center vent hole. Press down slowly on the piston to inject the ink into the sponge inside of the cartridge. If the cartridge was not completely empty, it will not take the full amount of ink. The ink will start oozing out of the vent hole.
