Open your vehicle's trunk and remove the rear trunk panel. You may need a screwdriver to remove the panel. Look for the wires attached to your trunk lamp as these wires receive a constant flow of power.

    • 2

Attach the keyless entry system box to the inside of your vehicle trunk. The box is likely very light and can be fastened to the rear trunk wall with a hook and loop fastener, such as Velcro. The box may come with wire hangers already attached to the box, which will allow you to hang the box from the trunk wall.

    • 3

Look for two bundles of wires that run along the back of your trunk; one will have about six wires in it and the other will have more than six. Choose the bundle with six wires because these wires operate the vehicle's lock system. This bundle should contain yellow/black, green/black and brown wires.

Tap the red/white wire coming from the keyless entry box to the trunk light actuator as this will provide power for your entry system. Attach the green wire from the keyless entry box to the yellow/black wires in your trunk. Attach the yellow wire from the entry box to the green/black wires in your trunk. Attach the black/white wires from your keyless entry box to the brown wire in your trunk.

    • 5

Extend the antenna attached to the entry box if you wish. At its current length, the antenna will allow your entry system to work when you are no more than 10 feet away. Attach a wire nut and two feet of antenna wire to the current antenna. Then run the wire along the rear trunk wall.

Code the remotes by unplugging the receiver and plugging it in again. Within three seconds, push button one on the first remote and button one on the second remote. After about 20 seconds, your remotes will be properly coded. Do not hold down the remote buttons or push two buttons at the same time.

Replace the trunk rear panel and close the trunk.
