How to Remove Braces Glue at Home
Braces give people with less than perfect tooth alignment straighter and more eye-pleasing teeth. Braces work by slowly moving the teeth into the correct position, which can take years to accomplish. After your orthodontist removes the braces there may still be glue residue---or dental cement---left on your teeth. Typically, the orthodontist will use a dental spatula to remove the glue. However, you may find little pieces of the glue still stuck to your teeth. Fortunately, you do not have to make a special trip to your orthodontist. With a few common household items, you can safely remove the brace glue at home. Does this Spark an idea?

Fill a small bowl with two tsp. baking soda. Pour 1/2 tsp. of 12 percent hydrogen peroxide slowly into the bowl. Mix the contents together. When the hydrogen peroxide comes in contact with the baking soda, it will start to bubble.

Scrape the softened glue off your teeth gently with a dental pick. If necessary, repeat the process until you have removed all traces of the glue.
