How to Use the Learn Function on a Viper Remote

The learn function on your Viper remote ensures proper connectivity.

Viper offers a range of products, including remote start, keyless entry and security alarms, for various types of vehicles. Each Viper remote is pre-programmed prior to purchase but they must be paired with your vehicle in order to function properly. The learn function on the Viper remote allows your remote to be paired with your vehicle to ensure both work together properly.

Instructions

1. Turn your key in the ignition to the "Accessories" position but do not start the car.

2. Press and release the "Control" button on your remote.

3. Depress and hold the "Control" button on the remote. Your horn will honk once to confirm the system and the remote have been paired. Turn off the car.
