How to Make Koozie Holders

Koozies are the sleeves you put around cans to keep drinks cold. These koozies are fairly simple to make. They can be made out of a variety of different materials and then decorated once they have been made. The instructions below are for a koozie made of a quilted fabric, because it will be the easiest material to work with and it is readily available at any craft or fabric store.

  • Quilted material
  • Sewing machine
  • Fray glue
  • Scissors
  • Pins
  • Iron

Instructions

    • 1

      Cut the quilted material into a piece that is 12 inches long and 6 1/2 inches wide.

      Fold the material in half with the right side out. Sew the bottom with a straight stitch, using a 1/2-inch seam allowance.

      Turn the material inside out. Pin the sides together and sew them together.

    • 4

      Brush the raw edges of the material and use fray glue to glue the raw edges. Let it dry for about 20 minutes.

      Turn the koozie right side out and iron it flat. It is now ready for use and you can place a can inside it.
