How to Use Native 720P or 1080i on a 32 Inch LCD

High-definition picture is defined as having a pixel resolution higher than 720. Currently, the highest pixel resolution High-definition LCDs and LEDs are capable of displaying at is 1080p. Electronic components that are capable of displaying high-definition video require the use of an High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) cable to take full advantage of the advanced picture and sound quality offered through high-definition technology. HDMI cables are commonplace today and can be purchased from many stores and online retailers. These cables enable the HDTV to display at its native screen resolution.

Instructions

1. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the back of the high-definition device. Blu-ray players, computers and video game consoles are some devices which support the HDMI interface.

2. Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into one of the HDMI ports on the HDTV.

3. Turn on the TV and the device and use the television input button to select the HDMI port the device is running on. Both sound and picture will run through an HDMI cable, so there is no need for additional wiring.
