How to Erase the PPV History on a Scientific Atlantic Cable Box

Pay-per-view television allows users to watch specialized content that might otherwise be impossible to watch on traditional television by using a premium service charge for each viewing. Often, the content is in the form of major blockbuster films, high-quality sports matches and specialized miniseries. More objectionable content, however, such as pornography or extremely violent movies, may also be available. In these cases, it is nice to have the ability to erase the history to protect children, or protect from prying eyes. Resetting the PPV history on your Scientific Atlantic cable box should take no more than five minutes.

Instructions

1. Hold down the "+" button located on the front face of the cable box until the red "message" light on the cable box begins flashing.

2. Hold down the "Vol +", "Vol -", and "INFO" buttons at the same time until the system powers down.

3. Release the buttons once the system has shut down; the cable box should automatically restart. Once it has powered back on, press the "CBL" button on your television remote to prompt the main cable box menu. It should load for around 20 seconds, then return to normal use.
