How to Make Valentine Flower Centerpieces
If you're having a Valentine's Day party or just a special dinner for your loved one, decorate the table with a beautiful heart-shaped centerpiece that will look stunning. A floral centerpiece incorporates two Valentine's Day staples: hearts and flowers. They come together to create a breathtaking decoration that will instantly change the look of the room. Make as many as you need for however many tables you are decorating. Use flowers in colors that remind you of love such as pink and red. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Heart-shaped basket at least 4 inches deep
- Plastic liner
- Floral foam
- Craft knife
- Scissors
- Flowers with strong stems such as daisies and roses
- Filler flowers such as baby's breath

Lay the plastic liner inside of the heart shaped basket to protect it from the water you're going to use. Make sure it's secure.

Cut the floral foam using a craft knife. The foam will need to be heart-shaped. Make sure it will fit properly inside of the heart-shaped basket, so it should be a little smaller than the basket itself but should still fill the basket.

Saturate the foam with water. Set the foam into the plastic liner inside of the basket.

Trim the flowers so they are the same length equal to the depth of the basket and foam.

Stick the daisies and roses into the foam heart, covering it completely.

Add in the accent flowers around the larger flowers to create a pretty arrangement. There should be no foam showing at all.

Tips & Warnings
Filling in any open areas with baby's breath will help add drama to your arrangement. Ribbons, bows, glittered twigs and other decorations will also add pizazz to your centerpiece.
Do not place on a wooden table until you are sure the basket is water tight to avoid water damage.
